Gustavo (Gus) Roger

Gustavo Roger, known as Gus, is a Chilean-born Canadian artist and entrepreneur whose creative journey has been guided by an innate artistic gift and a lifelong passion for visual expression. Working primarily in soft pastel, Gus brings landscapes and animals to life with vibrant color, emotional depth, and a keen eye for composition.
From an early age, Gus was drawn to drawing, design, and cartooning—early signs of a natural talent that would later be nurtured through formal studies in Architecture. This foundation not only sharpened his technical skills but also deepened his appreciation for structure, perspective, and the interplay of light and form—elements that continue to inform his artwork today.
After immigrating to Canada in 1977, Gus spent 35 years as an Audio Visual Media Producer with Health Canada in Regina, Saskatchewan. There, he combined his creative instincts with technical expertise, producing visual content that communicated with clarity and impact.
Now focused on fine art, Gus channels decades of experience into his soft pastel work, capturing the energy and spirit of the natural world. His pieces reflect a unique blend of artistic intuition, architectural discipline, and heartfelt storytelling.
A devoted father, husband, and grandfather, Gus continues to explore new creative horizons while sharing the beauty of his heritage and vision with others.
